Watchdog Radar

Watchdog Radar answers one question fast: is this domain on a regulator's warning list?

It searches every warning we have ingested from financial regulators across Europe, North America and Asia, and returns the matching entries with a link straight to the official source.

When to use it

  • You're about to hand money to a broker, exchange, or "investment platform" and want a regulator-grade second opinion
  • You see a domain in a message and want to check it before clicking
  • You're researching a scheme that targets people you know

For the broader picture (antivirus, blacklists, SSL, network), run a full scam URL check. Watchdog Radar is the regulator-only slice of that scan.

How a lookup works

  1. Paste a domain (e.g. example.com)
  2. We normalise it, strip protocol/path/www., then match against every scam domain extracted from regulator warnings
  3. Matching warnings are listed newest first, grouped by the issuing authority

If there are no matches, that does not mean the domain is safe. It means no regulator we monitor has issued a public warning. Use it alongside the trust signals in a full scan.

What's behind it

The match set is built from the same warnings hub that publishes per-regulator pages. Each warning carries:

  • The issuing regulator
  • The date it was published
  • The official source URL
  • The scam domains the regulator named

Warnings refresh on a schedule throughout the day. New ones surface within hours of being published.

What it does not do

  • No verdict on the domain itself. We surface the warning, you draw the conclusion. A site can be flagged by one regulator while operating legally in another jurisdiction.
  • No private warnings. Only public, source-cited entries are indexed.
  • No tip-off mechanism. This tool consumes regulator publications. To report a domain to us, use the community reports flow instead.
  • A flagged result here typically also lights up the regulators row on a full scan result page
  • Browse all regulator coverage on the warnings hub
