By accessing and using Alertoscan.io ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

Alertoscan.io is a free website security analysis platform. Our services include:

Scam URL Checker — Multi-source security scanning of websites
BreachRadar — Email breach checking against known data breaches
Password Generator — Client-side password, passphrase, and PIN generation
TechStack Checker — Website technology detection and analysis
Review Pages — Public security reports with community reviews
Trust Score — Proprietary 0-100 risk rating algorithm

The Service aggregates data from multiple sources including antivirus engines, blacklist databases, international financial regulators, SSL/TLS verification, WHOIS records, and community reports.

User Accounts

Registration

Some features require account registration. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
Be responsible for all activity under your account

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service or create an account.

Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or are used for illegal purposes.

Permitted Use

Submitting honest community reviews based on genuine experience

Prohibited Use

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
Submit automated scans or abuse our scanning infrastructure (scraping, bots)
Submit false, misleading, or defamatory community reviews
Impersonate other users or entities in reviews or contact forms
Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm website owners
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our services or data without authorization
Reverse-engineer our Trust Score algorithm or scanning infrastructure
Overload or interfere with our servers or infrastructure

Community Reviews

Content Standards

When submitting community reviews, you agree that your content:

Is based on genuine personal experience with the website
Is accurate and not intentionally misleading
Does not contain hate speech, threats, or illegal content
Does not include personal information of third parties
Complies with applicable laws

Moderation

All reviews are subject to moderation before publication. We reserve the right to:

Reject reviews that violate our content standards
Remove published reviews that are reported and found to violate these terms
Edit reviews solely for formatting purposes (never content)

License

By submitting a review, you grant Alertoscan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your review content on our platform.

Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access and prevent abuse, all services are rate limited:

Scans, contact forms, and other submissions are limited per IP address
Community reviews are limited per user per domain
Excessive usage may result in temporary or permanent blocking

The Service, including the Trust Score algorithm, badge system, scan analysis, AI-generated summaries, website design, and branding, is owned by Alertoscan and protected by intellectual property laws.

Scan Results

Published review pages and scan results are informational content. You may link to and share review page URLs. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or republish our scan data without authorization.

Third-Party Services

CNC Intelligence Partnership

Our Fraud Protection page connects fraud victims with CNC Intelligence Inc., a licensed investigation firm. Alertoscan acts as a referral service only. We are not responsible for the services provided by CNC Intelligence. By submitting the partner referral form, you agree to share your information with CNC Intelligence under their own terms and privacy policy.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not guarantee:

The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of scan results or Trust Scores
That any website flagged as safe is actually safe, or that flagged websites are actually dangerous
Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
That the Service will detect all threats, scams, or vulnerabilities

Scan results are informational only and should not be the sole basis for any financial, legal, or security decision. Users should exercise their own judgment and seek professional advice when appropriate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alertoscan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Your use of or inability to use the Service
Any reliance on scan results, Trust Scores, or review content
Actions taken or not taken based on information provided by the Service
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
Any third-party conduct or content on the Service

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alertoscan from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you submit (including community reviews)
