Information about how Alertoscan.io uses cookies and similar technologies, and how to manage your preferences.

Last updated: May 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Alertoscan.io ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them.

When you first visit our site, a consent banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of any page.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember preferences, and to provide information to the site owners. Some cookies are strictly required for the site to function (these do not require your consent), while others (like analytics cookies) are only set if you give explicit consent.

This page also covers similar technologies such as localStorage and anonymous request beacons where applicable.

Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to function. They are exempt from consent requirements under European law (ePrivacy Directive, Article 5.3) because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you requested.

Performance measurement (no cookies)

We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure Core Web Vitals (loading speed, responsiveness, layout stability). This service uses anonymous performance beacons sent to va.vercel-scripts.com and does not place any cookie on your device. No personal data, cross-site tracking, or individual profiling is performed.

As this constitutes anonymous audience measurement for the sole purpose of the site's technical performance, it is generally treated as exempt from consent under CNIL guidance, but you can disable it at any time via your browser's ad/tracker blocker if you wish.

Third-Party Services

When analytics cookies are accepted, the following third parties may receive data:

Managing Your Preferences

The simplest way to manage your cookies on Alertoscan.io is through our cookie consent banner. You can:

  • Accept all cookies (essential + analytics)
  • Reject all non-essential cookies (only essential cookies will be set)
  • Open the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time

When you withdraw consent for analytics, we send a signal to Google and Microsoft to stop processing your data. The cookies already set may remain in your browser until expiration. You can delete them manually via your browser settings if you wish.

Via your browser

All modern browsers let you view and delete cookies, and refuse them globally or per-site:

Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and form submissions on this site.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable laws. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. For substantial changes, we will display a notice on the site or re-show the consent banner.
